These images are quite interesting as Mark Power looks into how we decorate faces. Again the framing is influencing my project as the subject(decorated facade) is centred in the image while showing the surrounding buildings.

I love the way these images allow the audience to make up their own mind about the subject in each image. The images also represent the cyclic nature of the manufactured landscape which ties in quite nicely with my project.

I've decided to go back to my original idea of looking at facades but have altered the idea a bit. I am now going to look at the temporal changes of facades throughout wellington.

I'm using James Voller as an artist model because of the way he frames his images and the  way he shoots front on, flattening the images so they become part of the facade.

Shoot three

I was going to try making a stop motion film showing the movement of wind sculptures throughout wellington and thought it would be easier at night time as many of them are lit up. This idea wasn't going to work though as there wasn't enough change to create an interesting short film. I then started looking at the shadows on the boxes as they turned but again there wasn't enough happening.

These photos are working quite well on their own but it will be hard to get a series out of them as the posters are changed weekly so its hard to capture them degrading.
